Sorong is located in eastern Indonesia. The city’s population was estimated to be 219,958 according to the January 2014 Census. It is one of Papua’s biggest cities and offers plenty of activities and sights to be discovered. One of the main attractions is a visit to the Raja Ampat Islands which is famous for the abundance in marine life. There is also plenty of shopping to do in the city, pick up a sarong, tribal mask or take batik painting classes which are offered around town. Whatever you wish to engage on in Sorong, this destination is sure to have you dreaming for weeks.
