Royal Caribbean recently announced that its Vision of the Seas will be dedicated to Nordic cruises in the North and Baltic seas next year from April to September, and a highlight, from this perspective, is the 11-night Arctic Circle cruise from Copenhagen.
Of course, we love just about any cruise that carries us to the exciting and beautiful places on earth, and the top of the world, the Arctic Circle, certainly ranks high for both those qualities.
It's hard to describe what you'll see there because the views from the ship are always changing, creating some extraordinary scenery. It's stark and yet it's always dramatic, too.
In addition, this cruise will take you to the magnificent Norwegian Fjords, and you will certainly be impressed by the colorful glory of the Midnight Sun. This itinerary includes calls at the picturesque Norwegian destinations of Alesund, Honningsvag, Tromso, Geiranger, Olden and Bergen.
All told, Vision of the Seas is offering 14 distinct itineraries during the summer of 2010, and each of them provides a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating northern lands of Europe. The departure ports are Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm, and beyond the Arctic cruise, highlights include seven-night trips featuring St. Petersburg or a nine-night Brtitish Isles and Normandy trip from Oslo.
